Bro. Matthew is the Lead Pastor of Ely Baptist Church. Prior to coming to Missouri, he served Victory Baptist Church in Ozark, MO; New Hope Baptist Church in Pell City, AL; First Baptist Church in Leeds, AL; and Grace Community Bible Church in Leeds, AL. Bro. Matthew received his Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. He received his Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA. Brother Matthew and his wife, Mindy, have four children: Emory, Levi, Ezra and Adalyn. Bro. Matthew's main focus at Ely Baptist is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and equip the members of the church to do the work of the ministry. His passion is to teach others the amazing truth found in Scripture and to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
